Swift offers five varying trims in the 2024 lineup. These include the base trim LXi, followed by VXi, VXi(0), ZXi, and ZXi+. These are available in six monotone colour options and three dual-tone colour options.

Features of Maruti Suzuki Swift

Under the hood
Compared to the previous lineup, the latest Swift is equipped with a new engine under the hood. This is a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Z Series petrol engine capable of 80bhp and 112Nm of torque. Plus, there are transmission options with a six-speed manual unit and an AMT unit.

Exterior
The new Swift has upgraded bumpers with a new design with the latest LED DRLs and projector headlamp technology. In addition, there is a new gloss black front grille with LED fog lights and new LED tail lights. Besides this, the wheels are made with 15-inch diamond-cut alloy.

The latest Swift variant is now available in two additional colours compared to the earlier lineup. These include Novel Orange and Luster Blue. Along with these, there are three dual-tone colours also available, including Luster Blue with Midnight Black roof, Pearl Arctic White with Midnight Black Roof, and Sizzling Red with Midnight Black roof. Other colours from the pre-existing palette include Splendid Silver, Pearl Arctic White, Sizzling Red, and Magma Grey.

Safety
In the safety category, the Swift now has six airbags, brake assist, three-point seatbelts with reminders for all seats, and a reverse parking camera and sensors. All variants are also equipped with ISOFIX child seat mounts, electronic stability control, ABS with EBD, and hill-hold assist as part of the driver assist features.

Interior
Along with the exterior, the interiors of the Swift have also been updated quite significantly. For example, the new dashboard now has an elegant Piano Black treatment with inserts made of Satin Matte Silver. Besides this, the instrument console has asymmetric dials with a nine-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen system as well as cruise control. In addition, the dashboard is now equipped with keyless entry technology, a wireless charging port, wireless phone mirroring, and Suzuki’s signature Connect technology. The new Swift has rear AC vents and 60:40 split rear seats for passenger comfort.

In terms of cabin space, the Swift has got fairly good ratings from experts. The front and rear seats have been designed to be wide enough to support the shoulders and the back, making longer drives comfortable. In addition, there is sufficient headspace, knee space, and leg space in the front as well as rear for those above 6 feet.  Also, the basic fabric upholstery is comfortable with soft cushioning.

When it comes to storage, the Swift offers ample space. For example, the front doors have spacious storage slots, two cup holders, and a phone tray designed at the centre of the two front seats. A phone holder has been provided for rear seat passengers, too, which can be easily accessed from the front as well. Besides this, the glove box has been designed to offer generous space. Considering the cosy and comfortable interior, the new Swift makes for the perfect car for small families who need a vehicle for daily commutes.

Cargo space
The approximate boot space is around 265 litres. This means the usable cargo space is enough to hold at least four cabin-sized trolley bags. Besides this, the 60:40 split seats allow more luggage and bags to be hauled around. While this space is almost the same as the earlier Swift versions, the new variants have better access to the boot. This is evident from the wider boot opening and the lower rear bumper. So, one does not have to lift heavy grocery bags or trolley bags to stow them in the boot space.

Cost
The price of the latest Maruti Swift varies across cities. Its new 2024 models’ on-road price starts from around INR 7,31,070 for the base variant LXi (Petrol). Meanwhile, the VXi variant has an on-road price of approximately INR 8,20,168 – INR 8,99,857. Within this price range, one can also look for the VXi(0) variant with its manual as well as automated transmission options. The higher variant, ZXi, has an on-road price of INR 9,30,848, with the ZXi Plus ranging between INR 10,08,324 and INR 10,74,731. For those looking for easy and affordable payment options, it is worth looking into the many dealerships with Maruti Swift special offers on the on-road price.

There are many Swift offers in 2024, with discounts and deals rolled out by several dealerships. These deals include substantial discounts on the sticker price of the car. In addition, some dealerships have exchange offers where one can sell off their old car in exchange for a brand new 2024 Maruti Swift. Some dealerships have even rolled out corporate discounts, government employee discounts, and so on, which can significantly bring down the overall cost of the car.
